The Gijón Chamber of Commerce will carry out a complete renovation in the coming months, with 200 meters of steel plates, on its facade on the Piles-Infanzón road. The design of the enclosure is the work of architect Jovino Martínez Sierra, and various Asturian companies will participate in the materials and assembly of the work, including Oxiplant:
- ArcelorMittal has donated the steel sheets.
- The SEM Group has been responsible for the classification and prior treatment of the donated materials.
- Oxiplant performs the cutting of the metal parts according to the indications of the plans.
- Tuinsa will address the assembly of the plates and welding.
- Galvanizados Avilés will be responsible for the galvanizing.
- Casintra will be responsible for the transport and transfer of materials.
- Fedecor will collaborate in the placement of the new gates.
The work, which in this first phase will be carried out in the area of the entrance to the offices, the recycling center and the rear access to the site, does not rule out being extended to the rest of the site.
