Oxiplant is part of the Advanced Manufacturing Hub4metal project launched by MetaIndustry4.
This project aims to promote the connection of companies in the Asturian metal industry with the local network of companies and technology start-ups specializing in advanced manufacturing in Gijón.
What is Advanced Manufacturing Hub4Metal?
Advanced Manufacturing Hub4Metal is a project developed by MetaIndustry4 with the collaboration of Gijón Impulsa.
The objective of this project is to create meeting points between the metal industry and the technological ecosystem of Gijón to promote the transfer of specialized knowledge in advanced technology to the Industry.
This project favors the growth of innovative companies thanks to the traction effect exerted by the company and is materialized in the generation of projects to incorporate advanced manufacturing technologies.
Through this project, MetaIndustry4 seeks to promote new projects linked to the incorporation of digital tools and developments into production processes. It seeks to promote digital transformation from open innovation, adopting new advanced manufacturing technologies and expanding visibility in terms of technological capacity and specialization of Asturian companies before the Industry.
Actions planned by Advanced Manufacturing Hub4Metal
The project uses various technologies to achieve the objectives, especially aimed at fostering understanding and promoting collaboration between Technology and Industry.
The idea is to actively work on the different points of view that technology companies and members of the Industry can contribute in terms of the current situation, the problems and the applicable solutions, generating in this way a strong feeling of collaboration and commitment, essential to launch projects for the implementation of advanced technologies in manufacturing.
This project includes a series of actions whose objective is to promote collaboration between industrial and technological companies:
- Networking actions, characterization interviews of technology companies to identify capabilities of technology companies and promote their visibility in the industrial fabric.
- Meetings between technology companies through workshops and dynamics to establish needs and challenges from the hand of the latest technological advances.
- Support actions for the definition of technological and innovation projects in cooperation.
